And this is what our Demco auxiliary outlet looks like when it's installed. This is gonna provide us with 12 volt outlets so we can power up various accessories and you have the option to wire this however you want. So you could wire it directly to your battery to give you an outlet that's powered all the time or you could wire it to an ignition source that would allow it to only be powered up when the keys on. So what this 12 Volt Outlet Kit, what it's gonna do is give you a power source, that way you can plug in your braking system, your portable-type braking system. And honestly, a lot of the times we use this kit, that's exactly what it's for. A lot of portable-type braking systems have that end on it that it needs to be plugged into a cigarette-type lighter to get its power. more

This kit is going to come with five foot of wire, so you might have to extend it depending on where your battery is located. This kit is going to convert 12 volts to 20 amps. Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be installing Roadmaster's 12-volt outlet kit, part number RM-9332.This 12-volt outlet kit is going to allow you to plug in any of your automobile accessories that use 12 volts. This includes phone chargers, braking systems, or any of your other accessories. The kit come with a mounting bracket, as well as the outlet itself and all the wiring you need to plug it up. You can plug it up directly to battery power, which will allow it to be functional all the time even when the vehicle is off or if you'd like, you can use the provided fuse tap that comes in the kit and hook it into a fuse that only has power when it's in the accessory or run position. This will give you a lot of different options for however you want this fuse.One example where you might want it for when it's only in the accessory or run position is for aftermarket seat heaters. This way when you turn your vehicle off, you don't have to worry about remembering to turn your seat heater off because the outlet will go dead once you turn your key off. more

Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit Installation - 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Today in our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we will be having a look at and installing the Road Master 12 Volt outlet kit, part number RM-9332. Here's what a 12 Volt outlet kit looks like installed. As you can see, it mounts cleanly up out of the way, underneath the dash giving us a place to plug in our portable breaking system if we're flat towing our vehicle behind our motor home. Now, this 12 Volt outlet being hooked directly to the battery, gives us a constant 12 Volt source of power, so we don't have to have the key in the ignition. In the vehicles power outlet, it has to have the key in the on position in the ignition in order for it to be on. This will give us a source to actually run our breaking system or any other 12 Volt accessory that we may have. Such as a cell phone charger like this. As you can see it's coming on right now. more
